Jubilee 2025
Mission Statement
“Love, Learn, Believe, Achieve”
in the spirit of Jesus.
At St. Paul and St. Timothy’s Catholic Infant School, we celebrate the individual differences and gifts that God has blessed each and every one of us with.
“The mission of schools … is to develop an understanding of all that is true, good and beautiful.”
“An inclusive education finds a place for all.”
“Educating is an act of love; it is like giving life.” (Pope Francis)
We believe each new day brings the opportunity to express our love for God and one another. We provide a supportive, yet challenging, learning environment where each individual is able to develop their abilities and gifts. Our school is a place where children and adults can express their belief in God; develop belief in themselves and others. We believe everyone in our school community can achieve, whatever their ability. Each achievement is as unique as each individual and all are celebrated. We aspire to equip all in our school community to proclaim the Good News and “live life to the full”.
Jubilee 2025
Pope Francis has decided that the Jubilee of 2025 will have the theme ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.
Since 1300, when Boniface VIII initiated the first Holy Year, initially occurring every hundred years, then adjusted to every fifty years, and eventually settled at every twenty-five years, the celebration has been regarded by God’s holy and faithful people as a unique grace. It is marked by the forgiveness of sins, notably through indulgence, which is a full expression of the mercy of God.
The Jubilee of 2025, will be a year of hope for a world suffering the impacts of war, the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and a climate crisis.
In preparation for the 2025 Jubilee Year “Pilgrims of Hope”, 2024 has been designated a Year of Prayer by Pope Francis. He asks us all to join in a great “symphony” of prayer, “to renew our desire to be in the presence of the Lord, to listen to him and to adore him.”

To help us prepare for this, Pope Francis has asked us to join us all in a great ‘symphony’ of prayer.

Pope Francis has also given us a prayer ahead of this special celebration.
The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen
